Specifications
COB LED technology
The current “chip-on-board” multi-LEDs allow dense, large-area light sources to be created that are characterised by their high luminosity and wide range of even colours. Cold white According to the colour temperature scale in Kelvin (K), “cold white” is a very bright, clear light in the colour temperature range between 5,000 and 10,000 K; it is slightly artificial in character and goes well with rich primary colours.
DMX512
Communication standard DMX512 was developed specially for lighting systems in 1986. Up to 32 DMX devices can be daisy-chained and controlled via a control source (e.g. a light mixer).
Protection class IP65
The IP code of the protection class indicates how well the sensitive parts of the device are protected from foreign bodies and water entering. This device is fully protected from the penetration of dust and water jets.
LED technology
LEDs are ideal for use in lighting systems: They are bright and have a low level of heat dissipation, a long operating life and low energy consumption. Moreover, LED systems often weigh less than conventional lighting systems.
Master & slave
Master/slave operation allows identical DMX devices to be controlled by a DMX device of the same model and software standard. All the devices are connected by DMX cables in series. The master device is then set to run in standalone mode and the slave devices are set to run in slave mode.
Quad colour RGBA/RGBW LEDs
Quad colour LEDs, also referred to as 4-in-1 LEDs, offer RGB colours but also an additional amber-coloured emitter for richer colours and an additional white emitter for improved contrast and greater definition.
RGB additive colour system plus white LEDs
Additional white LEDs create more contrast and clearer colour boundaries. What is more, they improve the creation of white and pastel colours.
Standalone mode
In standalone mode, the device functions are controlled via integrated programmes, so no light mixer or “master” controller is required.
Strobe
Strobes emit fast flash sequences, which makes movements appear “frozen” and creates a kind of slow-motion effect.
RDM
This device has full RDM capability. The RDM protocol supplements the DMX protocol and enables bidirectional communication via a standard DMX network. It simplifies configuration, administration and monitoring of RDM devices connected to an RDM controller.
The high-frequency control of the LEDs while dimming ensures flicker-free operation, including for filming purposes.
Description
Versatile, rapid installation and simple, practical configuration – the ZENIT® Z 180 G2 is the new shining star. Thanks to our innovative, patented SPIN16® technology, it is mounted in an instant using the mounting bracket’s 16-mm TV spigot and a super clamp. The powerful RDM-enabled PAR spotlight for demanding professional applications now has a bright OLED display menu. The long-lasting 180 W RGBW COB LED and 16-bit technology create consistent, high-resolution colour blends and perfect dimming response. With a range of 10° to 40°, the motor zoom provides flexible illumination ranging from sharp, narrow beams to widely spread expanses.
With its flicker-free operation via 6 selectable PWM frequencies and its IP65 classification, the ZENIT® Z 180 G2 is perfectly suited for use with film cameras or outdoors. The PAR spot also features colour temperature correction, a variable white balance and 4 selectable dimmer curves, whose response can be adjusted to simulate halogen lamps.
The ZENIT® Z 180 G2 can be controlled via 7 DMX modes or used as a master, slave or standalone unit. The bright OLED display with 4 illuminated touch-sensitive controls makes menu navigation and configuration child’s play, while an access lock prevents unauthorised setting changes. For almost silent operation, the extremely robust die-cast aluminium housing is equipped with a temperature-controlled fan. 5-pin DMX sockets and powerCON TRUE1-compatible power input and output facilitate easy parallel connection. The Cameo ZENIT® Z 180 G2 runs on all voltages between 100 and 240 volts.
