TINO
Sistema di Selezione 2 Amplificatori per Chitarra a 1 Cassa
Ambitious guitar players often use more than just one amplifier for different sounds. Transport, space requirements and miking up pose a major problem easily solved by Palmer's PTINO. The system connects two amplifiers to a single loudspeaker
cabinet and switches between them. Regardless of whether you use tube amplifiers which must always be connected to a load to prevent damage, or transistor models. Even a mixed combination is easily possible.

PTINO consists of two devices: the footswitch, which is usually placed on the pedal board of the guitarist, and the amp selector, which is best positioned close to the amplifiers to prevent long cable runs. Both are connected via the dedicated 5-pin
XLR controller cable (a 6 m cable is included).
The footswitch features a guitar input, a 9 V DC socket for the system power supply, and an XLR connector. It is used for the controller cable which powers the amp selector. It also handles the guitar signal (no extra lead required) and the
switching commands between amps. The two output jacks of the switchbox are connected to the inputs of the amplifiers and feed the guitar signal to the selected amplifier. Both outputs are electrically isolated from each other and the system circuit
to safely eliminate ground loops The level can be set for each output, both attenuation and amplification are possible.
Furthermore, next to the XLR-input for the control cable, the switchbox has two inputs and one output for loudspeaker signals. The inputs are connected to the speaker outputs of the amplifier, the output connects to the speaker cabinet.
The function of the switchbox is two-fold. It switches the guitar signal between the amplifiers and routes the speaker output of the active amplifier to the speaker cabinet. The non-selected amplifier is connected to an integrated dummy load.
Switching is silent and instantaneous.
PTINO can also be used as AB Box (e.g. for two combo amps with individual speakers).
