Specifications
Cold white
According to the colour temperature scale in Kelvin (K), “cold white” is a very bright, clear light in the colour temperature range between 5,000 and 10,000 K; it is slightly artificial in character and goes well with rich primary colours.
ARTNET compatible
The device is ArtNet compatible. ArtNet is a network protocol for transmitting DMX-512 or RDM data via an ethernet connection.
The W-DMX™ feature facilitates the wireless transmission of DMX control data.
This product is ETL certified.
The high-frequency control of the LEDs while dimming ensures flicker-free operation, including for filming purposes.
4 framing shutter blades
Like wing limiters, but significantly more flexible, there are four diaphragm sliders here that enable the light beam to be shaped. Each diaphragm slider can be individually angled and inserted all the way for complete shading. The diaphragm slider system can be rotated by 45° in both directions for exact positioning.
Circular prism
A circular prism multiplies the beam or the gobo projection, placing the result inside a circle.
CMY
This spotlight uses a white light source and subtractive CMY colour blending (cyan, magenta, yellow) for an extremely large palette of colours.
Colour wheel
Turning the colour wheel, which is fitted with various filters, enables very fast changes of colour.
Focus
The focus function serves to focus the light beam and the gobo projection at any distance.
(Gobo wheel)
Gobo wheels are fitted with static or rotating gobos made of metal or glass. Gobos are essentially templates that allow the projection of patterns, shapes and graphics.
Linear prism
A linear prism multiplies the beam or the gobo projection, placing the result inside a row.
Linear CTO
This spotlight has a continuously variable CTO correction function (colour temperature orange) which enables settings from cold white to tungsten and warm white.
Iris
The iris is a continuously variable opening for altering the diameter of the beam.
sACN compatible
This spotlight is compatible with the sACN protocol (streaming ACN) for transporting DMX data via a network.
Description
For precise, accurate lighting with the option of a wide range of effects, Cameo now offers the extra PLUS in efficiency with the OPUS® SP5+. The profile moving head comes with an improved LED engine and is equipped with a powerful 500 W cool white LED, CMY colour mixing and linear CTO correction, while a colour wheel with 7 dichroic filters enables lightning-fast colour changes and split colours. With the same power consumption, the PLUS version of the OPUS® series now produces even more impressive light output and is still very agile with 540° pan and 270° tilt movement.
Fitted with a high-quality 130 mm front lens, the OPUS® SP5+ achieves an amazingly uniform flat projection - without hot spots.
Permitting extensive beam control, it features an extra wide zoom range from 6° to 42° , stepless iris and a continuously variable frost filter that provides soft, wash-like diffusion.
To create a rich variety of geometric shapes, the OPUS® SP5+ features a framing system with 4 shutter blades which can each be moved and angled independently within the frame or gradually closed for total blackout. Allowing precise shape orientation, the whole system can be rotated by +/- 45°. Two gobo wheels with 7 rotating and 8 static glass gobos generate stunning morphing effects when used simultaneously. For amazingly vivid projections, they can be used in combination with an animation wheel that is available as accessory to replace the framing shutter system. In addition to a rotatable and indexable 3-facet circular prism and a 6-facet linear prism to multiply gobo projection, the luminaire includes 16-bit dimming with a choice of 4 curves.
The OPUS® SP5+ offers flexible control options via DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN or the built-in W-DMX™ transceiver. It has a rugged ABS and metal housing with temperature controlled low-noise fan, Neutrik® DMX and powerCON TRUE1 connectors and sports a battery-powered touchscreen display with 6 additional touch buttons for convenient offline configuration and two modes of menu navigation. The luminaire comes with two omega brackets and power cord.
